Olympiad XX Rules

General rules for the Arts and Sciences Competition are as follows:

All categores will be limited to five (5) total entries per category from any single entrant unless otherwise noted on the category pages: i.e. Writtens are only three, some artwork is also more limited. Be sure to check every category you will be entering.
Sign-ins will begin promptly at 9:00 A.M. The autorcrat is prior military, and has a watch.
Sign-ins will end at 12:00 P.M. Only those who arrived prior to the end of sign-in will be permitted to ensure their items are registered after the time has expired.
Written entries must be signed in with the Autocrat on Friday before 12:00 A.M. (midnight). See Written category for further details.
Whines of oversleeping, flat tires, giving birth, being hung-over will not be accepted. If you feel there will be a problem with getting your entries to the autocrat on time at Clan, ship them prior to Clan.
Amtgard genre correct pieces/articles will recieve better scores than pieces/entries which are outside of the general genre. Amtgard genre is a period piece of prior to 1648, or of fantasy nature.
The only pieces which are not acceptable will be those which have been entered into any other Olympiad, anywhere, ever. Pieces which have already scored at any Crown Qualifications competition are more than welcome.
"First Time" work will not be judged to any standard less than all other more skilled pieces of work. Please choose entries with the assumption that each will be judged as if it is the best that a skilled Amtgard artisan has to offer.

Final Scoring will be calculated as follows:

Highest Totals in A&S : All scores will be discarded and the following place win points will be applied:

First Place Winner: 12 pts - Awarded as Overall Olympiad A&S Winner
Second Place Winner: 10 pts - Awarded as Olympiad A&S Runner Up
Third Place Winner: 8 pts - Awarded as Olympiad A&S Third Place
Fourth Place Winner: 7 pts
Fifth Place Winner: 6 pts
Sixth Place Winner: 5 pts
Seventh Place Winner: 4 pts
Eighth Place Winner: 3 pt
Did not Place, but you did have qualifying entries: 1 pt.

Rules for determining the Overall Olympiad

Ten additional points will be awarded to entrants who have place points in both A&S and War events.
Five additional points will be awarded to entrants who have placed in either event, but only have one point from the other.
Three additional points will be awarded to entrants who have points from both events but did not place in either one.
